The CCCEPA Musical Theatre Department is an immersive, comprehensive training program of instruction, performance and pedagogy that seeks to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue a career as a musical theatre performer. Students are introduced to a wide range of techniques to develop their use of the body and voice. Students also study music theatre history, musicianship, repertoire, and auditioning.
Guest artists are brought in to work with the students in special master class sessions. At the core of our teaching philosophy, we believe it is our responsibility to equip those students who choose to pursue a career in the arts with the tools needed to succeed, and to instill in ALL students the work ethic, professionalism, communication skills and collaborative qualities needed to succeed in any field.
