Having recently relocated to Atlanta from Washington, DC, Mr. d’Haviland received both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Music (Piano/Conducting) from George Mason University. While in Washington, he served as Director of Choral and Vocal Studies at Georgetown Day High School, guest music director at American University and was an adjunct choral clinician for the Washington Youth Choir. Mr. d’Haviland has worked at Arena Stage (DC) and Round House Theater (MD) as a musical theater and vocal instructor and also has supplemented his training at the Goodspeed Opera House (CT).

An award-winning music director, Mr. d’Haviland received the 2011 Washington Area Theatre Community Honors (WATCH) for “Outstanding Music Direction” of “Rent” and again in 2013, for "A Little Night Music”. Other regional music direction credits include—Dreamgirls, Cabaret, Caroline, or Change, Pacific Overtures, Ain’t Misbehavin’, Spring Awakening, Sweet Smell of Success, The Rocky Horror Show, Marat/Sade, and A Chorus Line. Also active as a musical theater performer, Mr. d’Haviland’s credits include Coalhouse Walker, Jr., (Ragtime), Noah “Horse” Simmons, (The Full Monty), Jake (Side Show), Eddie Mackrel (The Wild Party, LaChiusa) and Tom Collins (Rent).

He joined the CCCEPA faculty in 2014.
